Aerogel insulation material is a new type of nano composite, which is very thin and made from silica aerogel and fiberglass mat. Its surface is PI foil, its thermal conductivity is lower than 0.021w/(m*k). It’s good insulation with dust free. It has been successfully applied to the core insert inside the battery pack. It plays a dual role in fire prevention and heat insulation when the battery burns and explodes to bring passengers more time to escape.
